I have been teaching since 2009 and have taught in Utah, Alaska, Idaho, New York, Japan, & South Korea.
I approach movement with respect for whatever works best for you. I consider each session to be a collaboration. I bring my experience and training to guide you, but you are always the authority on your body and your experience.
Some personal stuff...
I am trauma informed. It's important to me to accommodate my clients' preferences during a session to ensure you feel safe enough to move your body with me.
I can help you recognize when to push yourself and when to rest. I used to be a professional dancer, so I understand the importance of cross-training to achieve athletic conditioning. Since 2020, I have Long Covid, and my movement goals are completely different. This has helped me understand chronic illness and PEM (Post-Exertional Malaise).
I am neurodivergent. I use she/her pronouns and believe gender identity is fluid and may change throughout our life.
I believe in body neutrality, Intuitive Eating, and HAES (Health At Every Size).
I grew up in Utah and I feel my best when I'm in nature. I moved to NYC in 2018 with my husband, Greg. I love living in Sunnyside, Queens, with our pet bunny, Adora.

“Talese is an excellent instructor who has a wonderful personality and a great understanding of her profession. I would highly recommend her."
Zahra, NY
"I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Talese. I have been working with her for almost 3 years and she has an amazing wealth of knowledge of Pilates and how to work with injuries. She spends time to truly understand what is going on with my body and creates a personalized routine to strengthen and restore. I leave each session stronger, with less pain and tightness but also with much more awareness of how to properly engage specific muscles outside of our sessions. She also has such a warm, upbeat personality so it's such a pleasure working with her.

"Every time I do Pilates with Talese I feel strong in a most refreshing way! It makes me want to make it my part-time job--I seriously can't get enough!! Her cues are clear and effective. I find ways of moving my body I never could've thought up myself and am so thankful for her guidance! Anybody wanting an immediate uplift should take her class. Highly recommended!
